Step 1

If you have never run a business before, Busines Link have published a good "No-Nonsense" guide to starting a buinsess.  The Guide consists of six modules so that you can select the ones that are right for you.  They are all available to download below:

Module 1 - Overview
A summary of the material in other modules giving you the basic steps you'll need to take in order to set up your own business.

Module 2 - Is starting a business right for you?
Information and activities to help you decide whether running your own business will suit you.

Module 3 - Planning your business
Planning the practical and legal aspects of your business.

Module 4 - Finding and keeping customers
Researching the market, getting your business offer right and successfully selling to customers.

Module 5 - Managing money
The key skills needed to organise your business finances and how to apply for funding.

Module 6 - Your business plan
Collate the information that you wrote in the worksheets into an essential or comprehensive business plan.

Step 2

Complete your Business Plan.
Contact Oxfordshire Business Enterprises (OBE) for one to one advice on your
business proposal and how to complete
your business plan.

Step 3

Apply for the loan. The application form can be completed online or downloaded from the Loan application page.

Step 4

The Fredericks Oxfordshire Client Manager will arrange to meet you in person to discuss your application and business plan.  Repayments terms will be discussed.

 

Step 5

When all parties are happy, the application will be considered by the lending panel who will make the decision 

 

Step 6

If the loan is approved and any pre conditions met, paperwork is issued by Fredericks.  Once this is signed and returned, loan funds are disbursed.

 

Step 7

You will be introduced to a business mentor who will help you and your business reach its full potential.
